Hey folks! December is here and we all know what that brings right? Holiday!!!

But which is the best place to go celebrate a new year? Which is the best place to be when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st? We’ve scouted some wonderful destinations around the world where hearing the midnight gong is a surreal experience. From the beaches of Rio de Janeiro to Berlin’s Brandenberg Gate, there are some iconic destinations on our handpicked list. We will cover one destination each day this month starting from today. Expect epic fireworks display, all-night dance parties, one-of-a-kind cultural traditions and lot more.
We millennials love to work (or at least pretend to). We are so engrossed in our daily tasks, PPT presentations, client meetings, smoking breaks, unending gossip that we forget about the more important things in life, such as family, friends, pets and pizza.
Many of us promised our family that we would go on family vacation by the end of this year. Some of us might opt for spending the start of 2019 in a different country. Some might want to see the sun rise in the east (literally) or some would prefer ogling at the fireworks of Burj-Al-Dubai. We all have our individual plans and travel itinerary to follow.
Some of you might want to go on a world tour perhaps. Whatever the reason for the travel or whichever destination you want to visit, you will need funds. It is not easy for salaried individuals to keep aside some form of travel funds when there are so many priority expenses to cater to. So, what do salaried individuals do in order to go on a holiday? Apply for a travel loan of course.

Suppose you remove the offline paperwork, delayed verification, repeated trips to the bank and delayed approval, from the travel loan availing process. These features, my friends, make an online travel loan even faster to avail.

Travel To Bangkok
It does not matter if it’s your first trip to Bangkok or your umpteenth, the city will always have something special for you whenever you visit. With a whole lot of activities to indulge in, from visiting historic temples, shopping at endless markets to simply lazing around on its beaches. It is the perfect place to go celebrate New Year’s eve. Before we get to the best places to visit in Bangkok, let’s get a hold of certain tips when traveling to Bangkok, Thailand. We will focus on the not so prominent places to visit in Thailand (covered by almost all travel blog).
Its best to hire a local guide or operator to enjoy the best of Bangkok within the short period you intend to visit Thailand for. The local guides have the best firsthand knowledge of places, eateries, culture, traditions and transportation. There are a lot of scams happening in Bangkok so better be prepared. Don’t speak to random strangers and always try to roam within a company. Make use of public transportation, with a wide variety of choices offered including ferries, riverboats, buses, trains, cabs and tuk-tuks.
The best place to start your Bangkok tour is by visiting the Grand Palace. It is a visually appealing experience, thanks to its architectural style and its vibrant color scheme. The property around the palace is made up of 4 sections. The Royal Temple section is the most sacred. Within the temple is placed the sacred Buddha of Thailand. With daily tours being organized throughout the palace, its best to visit the palace property during the wee mornings to avoid queues.
The Reclining Buddha is located right next to the Grand Palace. Also known as the Wat Pho, the structure is the largest reclining Buddha and contains the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. You enter within the structure’s large head and make your way around in counter clockwise direction The right arm resembles the Buddha laying on its side. The sole of the reclining Buddha is detailed with close to 105 sacred scenes of Buddhist enlightenment in both Indian and Chinese styles. The styling is done with mother-of-pearl inlay. Moving around the reclining Buddha will allow you to hear a pinging noise that echoes through the temple close by. The noise is the clink that dropping of coins make into the golden buckets around the temple perimeter. The coins are tossed inside by visitors for good luck.
The Wat Traimit is the largest gold seated Buddha in the world. Don’t’ forget to pay a visit. Next, is the Jim Thompson House, which was constructed by American entrepreneur James H. W. Thompson. Thompson developed the Thai silk industry from scratch and is said to have mysteriously disappeared while on a walk near his guesthouse in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.
The world’s largest building made up of golden teak is the Vimanmek Royal Mansion. The fully furnished mansion houses antique furniture, old photographs, glassware and memorabilia, that dates back to the mid-1800s.
A popular street in Bangkok is the Khao San Street. Strolling around the streets of Khao San will let you shop for everything from t-shirts, party hats, leather merchandise etc. Locals visit Khao San to purchase fake college diplomas and driver’s license. It’s a great place to hog on some schwarma or traditional Thai street food. Fresh shakes and juices are extremely popular here.
While you are at it, visit Ayutthaya. It was the ancient Siamese capital and maintains a number of functioning temples. A popular temple here is the Wat Phra Mahathat, which houses a sandstone Buddha entwined with roots in a Bodhi tree.
Damnoen Saduak are the popular floating markets in Bangkok. Float your way from stall to stall in wooden boats, also sampling local cuisine and purchasing handicrafts. Another day trip at Bangkok is visiting Kanchanaburi. It is a village best known for its WWII memorials. It was occupied by the Japanese and was a POW camp. The famous bridge over river Kwai, formed the basis for the 1957 movie of the same name.
